The Helmholtz AI central unit is integral to implementing and running Helmholtz AI, executing the strategy, coordinating the network and ensures the smooth running of daily business. With its science and outreach managers, it coordinates platform activities and projects across all Helmholtz AI local units and within the Helmholtz Association.
Operating from the Helmholtz Zentrum München, the team supports people and activities across the whole network, e.g. through hackathons, educational outreach and via a range of collaborative funding schemes. The team also facilitates the meetings of the Helmholtz AI steering board and the Helmholtz AI scientific advisory committee. Through liaison with the Association's head office, its various bodies and other platforms of the Helmholtz Information and Data Science Incubator, the science management team ensures a seamless flow of information, alignment with overall strategy and concise reporting.
